Capabilities

Full-service precision manufacturing. Under one roof.

From progressive die stamping through finished assemblies, we control every step of the manufacturing process with in-house tooling, machining, and quality systems.

Pax Machine Works provides a complete range of precision metal stamping and manufacturing services from our Celina, Ohio facility. Our capabilities span progressive, and transfer die stamping up to 1,200 tons, precision CNC machining, in-house tool & die design and fabrication, prototype development, secondary operations, and assembly and finishing, all supported by IATF 16949:2016, ISO 9001:2015, and CMMC Level 1 quality systems.

Seven core capabilities working together, from raw coil to finished, inspected assemblies delivered to your line.

What we do

Our capabilities

PAX Machine Works has been family-owned since 1948. We run 28+ stamping presses, a full tool & die shop, and precision machining operations, all under one roof in Celina, Ohio. Our people are the reason we have been here for over 75 years.

Progressive die stamping

High-volume production stampings using progressive dies that perform multiple operations in a single press stroke, delivering consistent quality across millions of cycles.

  • Multiple operations in a single press stroke for maximum efficiency
  • Multiple stations that progressively forms the part step by step
  • Consistent dimensional quality across millions of production cycles
  • Ideal for medium-to-high volume production programs
  • Also good for lower volume production programs

Transfer die stamping

Complex multi-station stamping operations for larger components requiring deep draws, multiple forming stages, and precise dimensional control.

  • Individual blanks transferred between die stations for complex forming
  • Deep draws and multi-stage forming operations
  • Larger part sizes than progressive stamping sometimes allows for material savings

Precision machining

Low-to-mid volume precision machining services built on decades of tool & die expertise, specializing in complex, tight-tolerance work for diversified industrial markets.

  • Low-to-mid volume specialization, not commodity CNC production
  • Built on decades of tool & die manufacturing expertise
  • Complex setups and tight-tolerance work

In-house tool & die

Complete die design, build, maintenance, and repair under one roof, giving us full control over tooling quality, modification speed, and production uptime.

  • Complete die design, build, and maintenance in-house
  • Progressive, transfer, and compound die capabilities
  • Rapid die modifications and repairs
  • In-die processes: staking, tapping, and bushing insertion

Simulation & Prototype Development

From initial concept through production-intent prototypes, with tooling designed for seamless transition to full-rate production.

  • Production-intent tooling from the prototype stage
  • Design for manufacturability (DFM) analysis
  • Multi-Step Simulation Software
  • Rapid prototype turnaround

Secondary operations

Tapping, welding, hardware insertion, deburring, and additional processing integrated into our production flow to reduce handling and lead time.

  • Tapping and threading
  • Resistance and MIG welding
  • Hardware insertion (PEM, clinch nuts, studs)

ASSEMBLIES & PARTS FINISHING

Sub-assembly, finishing, packaging, and inventory management services that deliver production-ready components directly to your assembly line.

  • Sub-assembly and component kitting
  • Part coatings, finishing, and heat treating
  • Custom packaging and labeling

INVENTORY MANAGEMENT

Flexible inventory management solutions that help maintain supply continuity, reduce lead times, and ensure parts are available when you need them.

  • Climate controlled warehouse
  • Scheduled releases and just-in-time (JIT) delivery
  • Inventory tracking and supply chain coordination

Engineering-driven manufacturing

Our team brings decades of tool & die expertise to every project, solving complex manufacturing challenges before they reach the production floor.
